I've been working on my demo for a while, and I've been treading into different genre's.

I've learned recently that a cd cannot consist of mulitple genres and be loved by all, although I wish that was the case.
Take STAVL(Soundtrack to a Vacant Life) for example, This cd is filled with different styles, but it all breaks down into one genre, and that genre is Benn's own personality in music form...Its just beautiful how he can convey his emotions and feelings into his music.

Which is what I am trying to do with this Demo.

I love breakbeat/Breakcore... I love it more than any other genre of music, I love the whole idea of the drums being the lead. Because with so much music today, the drums are just there for rythm...How many drum solos do you see in Linkin Parks albums? Asides from Session, which I admit was what got me into breakcore. Remember the old days with bands like Rush, and The Who? Their songs were filled with drums fills, solos, and the main drum beat never got boring.

That is why I love breakbeat/Breakcore.
But...that being said, so much break music is dark now a days...its just evil sounding(I.E.Venetian Snares) Or creepy...Or just plain weird(I.E. Aphex Twin)...Although That being said...Aphex has some wonderful ambient Break songs...which aren't quite as dark.(I.E. Flim).
I just can't make this music...I'm not a dark person at all.

Straying from that subject for a second, for the sake of understanding the full situation.
My good buddy iPatch has been sending me his music lately; and by the way, his music is amazing. Possibly some of the best 8bit I've ever heard asides from Kil.
But I am just loving this 8bit music. Its so happy. Its like a breath of fresh air.
What I love more than anything, is the arrangement and style of the music. Not so much the instruments...The Squares and sines and triangles and such. But the overall feeling that this music gives you.

So all in all. My goal is to bring these two genres together...if not in perfect harmony, than at least enough to make a bright breakbeat. Something that people can listen to and not go insane with mindmelting beats.
